Introductory of Jetawun Vihara

President State Sanga Mahanaraka Committee, Myingyan Sayadaw Bhaddanta Sobhita (Abhidhaja Maha Guru) and principle Ashin Ardeikca had been leading to establish Jetawun Monastic Education Center  was founded by Daka and Dakama (Laymen and laywomen) in June 2006. At the beginning, a few local retired teachers such as U Kyaw Hoe, Daw Ohn Kyi, Daw Mya Mya Win and Daw Nwe Ni Aung participate in the school activities with 46 students.

Now days, students are increasing up to 375 with 8 teachers for grades Kindergarten to grade 8. Necessary stationary and expenditures have been provided by local monastery supporters U Maung Maung Yin and Daw Hla Hla Sein family and others.

Additional gifts from tourists and others have now established a library and enclosed classrooms.

Jetawun students have recently received awards placing them first in the region, even compared to government school students.
